What's the best way to be in touch with you?
Are you currently serving in ministry at St. George's?
Worship is the beating heart of our community of faith that builds us up for service in the world. From greeters, ushers, scripture readers, public prayers, music ministry, powerpoint/soundbooth operation, it takes dozens of volunteers to make our inspiring services a reality each Sunday.
Discipleship & Spiritual Formation
Key to St. George's purpose is inspiring changed lives through discipleship to Jesus. We need others to help find their way through Jesus' Way.
Children and Youth
Do you have a heart for reaching the next generation with God's love? We can to start children and youth in Jesus' Way on the right foot. Faith-filled adults and teenagers who are a few steps ahead on the journey are needed to help us fulfill this dream.
Fellowship & Hospitality
Love to smile? Outgoing? Enjoy hosting guests? In hospitality we want to create a warm and friendly atmosphere by serving people, greeting people and answering basic inquiries. Or, if you enjoy cooking, serving or creating opportunities for people to connect then this would be your place to get involved. The Community Events Team helps put on events for the whole church throughout the year. Volunteering for this would be a "one-off" opportunity.
Outreach/Social Justice
Walking alongside the least, the lost and the lonely is part of living in Jesus' Way. St. George's has a reputation for all the good the church does in the community, and there are opportunities to serve in the daily soup kitchen (Sonshine Lunch Club), Food Pantry (Tuesday/Thursday mornings), and Drop-In (Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings). There are also occasional opportunities to help in one-off events or initiatives.
Are you outgoing, passionate about the Good News and connecting the church with the broader community? And/or are  interested in helping St. George's increase its profile through attendance at community events, advertising, social media or otherwise? Put your passion and skills to work this way.
Administrative Support
If you have computer skills and enjoy helping people whether from the church, renters, or the broader community, this could be the opportunity for you. We are always on the look for people to help host community concerts (and get a free show!)
Finance & Stewardship
It takes prudence to use our financial gifts to make an impact in people's lives and our community. Skilled Whether it's counting money, budget planning, or taking leadership in fostering generosity in the congregation (Stewardship).
Our building is a gift from God to be used for the common good of the community. Maintaining, repairing and renovating are crucial and provide a skeleton for God's Spirit to move in our community of faith and beyond. We need handy people, planners and problem solvers.
