Summer Activities Update

At the Board of Elders meeting on June 9th, the Sub Committee on Re-Opening Church and Ministries was endorsed by the Board. This Committee has been formed to look at all aspects of the ministries and building facilities and usage through St. George’s United Church. The Pacific Mountain Regional Council has requested that each congregation develop a 12-18 month plan and timeline for re-engaging our Community of Faith participants, ministries, building users, community partners and the wider community of the Comox Valley.

At the current time, worship and the Wednesday Prayer meeting will continue online, the bag lunch and Food not Bombs meal programs will continue on the lawn of the church property. Approval was also given by the Board to co-host two weeks of Children’s Summer Camp with Camp Spirit in August.
