Ten Commandments Series September 12-November 21

We will begin a church-wide series on The Ten Commandments beginning on September 12 and running until November 21. The Ten Commandments give us a view as to what the good life with God looks like. We'll be looking at each commandment in sequence, what it says about God, how it fits into the broader story of the Bible, and what it means for our lives as disciples of Jesus. You can expect:

  • Sunday Sermons & Worship

  • Children's Church and Family Faith Formation

  • Weekly Bible Study (hybrid Zoom and in-person—time TBA)

  • Small Groups and/or Independent Book Study

  • (Possibly) Youth Group

During this period, the whole congregation is encouraged to read along each week using Words of Life: Jesus and the Promise of the Ten Commandments by Adam Hamilton. This is a way to be connected and involved especially if you aren't able to attend in-person worship. The easiest way to order online - you can find it here on Amazon.ca, or any other online retailers. Laughing Oyster Books here in Courtenay is also likely able to order it in.

The church can order you a copy if you order by September 5th. Click here to put in an order to the church office.
