Postponing In-Person Worship & November 19 Health Order

On November 19 the BC Government issued new emergency guidelines in response to rising COVID-19 numbers until at least December 7th. The St. George’s Re-Opening Committee now announces the following guidelines:

  • Masks are Required at all times: We already implemented this last week, but it's now mandated by the government in all public places.

  • All In-person Church Groups and Meetings are Suspended until at least December 7: Committees and Small Groups are suspended. Worship streaming can continue. Individuals doing official church business are still allowed in the building. But please don't come to the church building unless your work is essential.

  • All User Groups are Suspended with Some Exceptions: Groups such as T.O.P.S., the Toy Library, and Fiddlejam are suspended. The Sonshine Lunch Club Soup Kitchen and Alcoholics Anonymous will continue as they are exempted by the order, and we believe are essential.

  • In-person Worship Nov. 29 is POSTPONED: All religious gatherings are suspended. We have set a new tentative December 13 date, pending the situation. You can sign up for that service below, but know it may change. If you registered already for Nov. 29th, you don't have to register again for Dec. 13th.
